'Between Chukkas, Bridlington Beach'

More work on the pony, and the girl has been blocked in now too. Not really sure how much work is left in this, not a vast amount but there is quite a lot of tidying up to do, esp in the background.

  1. This is one of my favourites I think. I'm amazed at how quickly you can finish these wonderful paintings :o)

  3. About 9-10 hours spent on this one so far. I have been thinking about this and I think, because I only get two windows of opportunity to paint every day (after the boys are in bed, and when they nap together during the day- IF they nap together during the day) I'm always chomping at the bit to get going again (especially if I'm enjoying the painting) and dive straight into it knowing exactly what I'm doing next, because I've been thinking about it half the day! I have to make my time count otherwise I'd never get anything done. I think it also helps in some ways working in two seperate slots as when I'm using the paint quite thinly during the day it has often dried enough to work over by the evening :-)
